Would it be possible to have the email function also send a CC to the sender?

Unfortunately there is no option for that.

What happened to the search function?   I just tried to search for "Super Snipe" and the only hit I got was from June 15th.   It didn't return any other hits for that or similar phrases.

That will be due to inconsistencies in how people are writing it. Super Snipe isn't the same things as SuperSnipe. Try searching for *snipe.

Was this the one that you couldn't get to with search before?

Not sure if appropriate or reasonable to ask, but searches of the forum aren't coming up with some of the older stuff. I have to go to google and click the "cached" in order to see anything of any vintage. I's it possible to set up an "archived" search function without the current formatting or something? There's some good information back there (re: the current nomex bra thread as an example of how old searches would help).

The forum has been reindexed. See if the searches get you to everything now.

Random thought to help un-clutter signatures, how about allowing more then 4 lines deep.

That is a bit of a balancing act. Longer signatures will make for much longer threads. Luckily not everyone here puts the full 4 lines available in there now. It would be a mess if they did. Check out some of the gaming forums with generous sig limits and you can see first hand how messy it gets.

As an alternative to longer sigs I would recommend using a facebook page (or wordpress or the social streaming service of your choice) for the race team and put that link in your signature along with the latest 2-3 events participated in your sig. Have everyone on the team point to that common site.

With that you can have the best of both worlds. You can share far more info than you ever could in a sig. The forum won't get junked up with out of control sigs. The stats from a FB page will let you see how many people are interested in checking out your hooptie. Hell, that could even help with sponsorship efforts for the team. Show you are generating a lot of eyeballs and you might be able to score some beer money for the team.

I have been looking into an archive plugin for the forum. It doesn't have that as a normal feature.

If searches are not working I can do a reindex of the database. That should fix the problem. It will take some time and I have to kick all the users off to do it. I'll try to do it overnight one evening when it looks like there aren't many people online and I'm actually awake past 10pm eastern.

I'm trying to set up a Rainmeter RSS skin that shows LeMons forum posts.   How often is the RSS feed updated?   Appears that it's not too often as the two newest posts are from about 6 hours ago.

That is a script that runs on the server side. There are no RSS options for me to change in the ADMIN panel. I have no idea what that is set for so unfortunately you get what you get with that one.

Now, to bring this thread back on track, I just noticed an interesting oddity with the forum software.   At least I think it is the forum software.   It appears to be British.   I used the word "humor" in a posting, and it was flagged with the squiggly red line as being misspelled.   But when I spelled it as "humour", it was OK.

Chris, is this the forum software doing it, or is it something on my own system (Ubuntu Linux 10.04.4 LTS, Firefox 11.0)?

That is a setting in your browser. The forum doesn't have a spell checker.
