Re: True tales of the Super Snipe

My Series 2 (originally identified as 1959 but later found to be 1960) may have looked like
your beautiful car originally, but suffered from a terminal case of tinworm when I got it.
Since it was rolled at Chuckwalla (December 2012), I have stripped almost everything
useful from the hulk.   It is just waiting for me to have some time to send it to the scrap
yard.

My 1964 Series 4 will never look like yours, as it has had the interior stripped and
caged for racing (for very small values of "racing").   The engine was upgraded to use
the dual Stromberg carbs from a Series 5, but they are not working nearly as well as I
had hoped.   I haven't had time to diagnose it, but my Plan B is to revert to the original
manifold and buy a new carburetor.   At least my Series 4 is almost completely rust-free.

If you need any obscure body or chassis parts from the Series 2, let me know before I
send it to the scrapper.
