Topic: Transponder tech

I'll carry this over from the mailing list.

Someone asked: How do I unregister a rental transponder from mylaps.com so they next person can register it?

AMB wants $50 to reregister a used transponder to a new racer.  I guess they use gold plated servers powered by genetically engineered rodents on unobtanium gerbil wheels connected to generators.

Re: Transponder tech

Lame.

It's a money making scheme by an out of touch company that has a monopoly on racing transponders.

2 years ago, it was as easy as having the prev owner unregister the transponder number, and you then got to re-register it. All via the web interface for free.
