Topic: odd wheel well lift points

This picture is making the rounds on the internet today.

I swear I once saw a similar picture posted on this forum and it was explained that some cars did in fact have lift points tucked in the wheel wells. I can't find that post anymore. Am I remembering that right or am I just crazy?

Re: odd wheel well lift points

I would assume (always a wise idea) that with the right attachment this should be possible with a lot of vehicles.  The strut mounts or spring cups are up there and they bear the entire weight of the vehicle.  That said, never seen it done on passenger vehicles.

Re: odd wheel well lift points

It seems like even if a car has the strong points up by the struts, only a few specific vehicles would have the accessibility to get the lift arms between the fenders and tires without damaging something.
