Topic: Motorhome Industrial engine

Mopar HT413 from a '72 superior 2200.

It weighs quite a bit, but it pretty much just slid out from the front

Giving it a bath tomorrow.

Mid-engine layout it is then!

Re: Motorhome Industrial engine

Does it have that funky waterpump and extra water passages plumbed in the front of the heads?  If so, you can just swap conventional BBM heads on it, straight across.  FWIW, the port shapes are just the same as later 452/902/346 heads.  They port decently, a good valve job for the stock 2.08 valve and 75 degree bowl hog should get about 230cfm at .500.  I putter a lot with BBM heads and have access to a flow bench.

There's exactly one shelf aftermarket piston for that 4.187 bore IIRC, some cast POS with about 7.5:1 compression from Silvolite.  PN#1272D (OCD compels me) so don't hurt 'em.  Even with minimal static compression, they can make decent power, assuming there's any pumping compression left.  S/F.....Ken M

Yep, that's the one. The vin has it as a 413-1, going to borescope it and see if I can tell what pistons are in there.  It's got a decent carb and an after market electronic ignition
