Topic: e85 fuel

Is anyone running e85 in their Lemons car? If so did you convert or was your car already running it? If you converted what was your reason to do so?

I'm just curious smile

Re: e85 fuel

e85 will net you a much lower MPG so for an endurance race it's not such a great idea. It takes almost twice as much alcohol to get the same result as gasoline. Dirt track guys have been running it as an alternative to racing fuel since it has such a high octane rating. They just use carbs built for alcohol. Ideally you would want to consider using pure gas for endurance racing. Or if your budget allows use racing fuel. Thing is if your car isn't tuned for it your not really going to get much of a difference out of it or if you don't have high compression.
