Topic: Any usage reports for the Azenis RT615K+ in Lemons?

Has anyone raced on these yet? How long do they hold up compared to the RT615K? I like the price I'm seeing, but I want to make sure they don't wear out a lot faster.

I can let you know in 5 weeks.  I'll be running them at NJ.

Yes, you can't beat the current price at TR, with the $100 card to boot.

I think Team Petty Cash/Crapcan Mixtape Dating Club ran them on their VW Corrado at Sears Pointless a few weeks ago. If not, Matt pointed out one team to me that was running them and I can't remember for the life of me who that might have been.

Re: Any usage reports for the Azenis RT615K+ in Lemons?

We have been running them on all of our cars since the came out.
The Saturn chews them up in one race.
The 1970 Bmw 2800 made two
The 1969 Rover p6b has made several races
The Saturn is fastish, has won class B and has aggressive alignment, it sticks like glue! but at the price of eating up the tires.
I think the are a great tire.

Manny,

This is a supposedly newer version, hence the "+" at the end of the name.  I am pretty sure they have only been out a few months.  Either that, or they just added the "+" so they could sell them through Tire Rack, and not just Discount Tire.

I assume it's a new compound, since TireRack already sold the RT615K. The tread pattern appears to be the same as well.

My guess is the initial offerings are at such a low price (plus rebate) to encourage people to try them out. It worked for me; I just ordered a set of 4. We'll find out how they wear at MSR.

We got a set to run in NJ with the saab. We'll see how they do on a heavy car. I'm not expecting more than 1 race out of them.
