Topic: A Lemons Class C car wins the Mexican 1000 Race (in its class)!!!!

FOR REAL!   NO KIDDING!

This is an actual team on the west coast that won Lemons Class C in their VW van!
And then they converted it to 4 wheel drive and raced it in the Mexican 1000, just last week.

Email from team to me:  "Sure did, started dead last, beat 63 vehicles in a VW camper, won our class (only ones in our class)!"

And I looked them up on the Mexican 1000 web site, and they had a brief (REAL) news article about them.  Click on link....and check out their VW GoWesty Vanagon get airborne on the dunes!!!!!  They even have a write up on the Lemons race on their Mexican 1000 website!

I gotta do this....(I wonder if you can convert a Honda Prelude to 4 wheel drive....?)

You might be able to cobble something from the CRV parts bin but I think suspension travel (or lack thereof) would be your killer issue.
I thought the same thing about my Tbird after reading seeing this on Jalopnik.
