it was pretty damn fun, I gotta say. Bumper might get reworked and back on tonight... or I might drink beer and play Forza...

What's the purpose of chopping the nose off Miatas? Is this the new punishment for spec miatas?

So are you running it with that huge push bar or without? Is that bar allowed? I know the rules say nothing past the cars original bodywork but if you cut out a foot, can you add it back with death race 2000 gear?

Back on topic, the way I read the rules, you can, indeed, mad max your car within the body lines. I'm just a reader of rules, though, not a writer of them.

The huge push bar is well, well within the original body work and was our original replacement for the structure that got owned into nothingness. We ran two races with it and never got even questioned. But.... I hated it. So I cut it off much to my team mates chagrin (so I found out after I had already cut it off). I'll be putting back on a modified, smaller and lighter version of the bumper to protect our radiator and front suspension. And, hopefully, we'll pit next to other mr2 teams and it'll look really funny.

Cool, thanks. I would like to build in a little more protection for my VW. Maybe replace the bumper with something stronger and add something up top for the rad.
