Topic: Fueling at Reno

Is there a fuel pad at Reno, or is it fuel in the pits?

Re: Fueling at Reno

For Reno, it's both a fueling area and in-paddock-space fueling. No hot pits.

Re: Fueling at Reno

So we can fill up in our pit area as long as everybody has the requisite gear on?

Re: Fueling at Reno

I believe that to be correct Rocket

Re: Fueling at Reno

Yep, that's correct. Gear up and please don't catch on fire. That's against the rules.

Re: Fueling at Reno

Hey Nick - While I understand, appreciate and have always adhered to the safety issue of having anyone fueling any race car in Nomex... where in the Lemons rules does is state that the fuel person needs such garb?  I've read through them three times and there is no mention of crew attire, crew safety issues, crew etiquette and/or the fact that a crew member's behavior is the responsibility of the Team Captain.

Just wondering if I missed a memo...

Fueling regulations vary per track. Thunderhill has some notable requirements.

Re: Fueling at Reno

Think it is more of a track thing then a Lemons thing but it is always a good idea to fuel in nomex.  We always bring an extra suit and gloves to the race to fuel with so we don't get gas on our racing suits.
