Topic: Dazzling lights?

When setting up lighting for a 24hr race, I believe I understand the rules for headlights but what about other decorative theme lighting. How much is too much?

Re: Dazzling lights?

You wont know until the judges tell you its too much.  Go crazy but create several circuits so you can shut it down incrementally until you get the OK.

Re: Dazzling lights?

as long as having spotlights isn't your theme, you should be ok.  the headlights should be the only worry for blinding the other drivers

Re: Dazzling lights?

Stay away from red, yellow, blue, and flashing.  You will be considered dazzling as soon as somebody complains and you get black flagged.

You are only entitled to the space you occupy.

Re: Dazzling lights?

When you start getting the finger from other drivers, your lights are too bright or poorly aimed.

If it's a day race, look to other reasons why they're telling you you're number one.
