Topic: How Does The Notification of "You're In The Event" Work?

My first time someone else handled all this now I'm the Admin Guy

How do we know we've "made the cut" to be entered into a given event

We are already registered for Lamest Day in early October and the registration deadline is late July

Yeah, you'll hear one way or the other 1-2 days after the entry deadline passes. If you think of anything good for your team concept between now and then, feel free to tweak it....

Re: How Does The Notification of "You're In The Event" Work?

How many applications do you normally get compared to the number of available spots?

We are in the planning stages right now to make a run at the Lamest Day race.  I have a crusty old 280Z that I bought as a parts car many years ago.  I drove it around a bit, pulled a few things I needed and left it for dead in 1992.  It's been collecting critters, rust and mold in a leaky garage ever since.  It will take several months to get the stink out of it and whip it into something that vaguely resembles a race car, so we will have to start now and hope we get accepted.

It depends on the event. Sometimes we're 100% oversubscribed. It's too early to tell for the Lamest Day....just generate a good team concept and keep your fingers crossed....

Semi-related, for the photo of the car, will you see the full size image we uploaded, or just the teeny 120x80 thumbnail? The thumbnail version of my photo just doesn't have the same visual impact.

Re: How Does The Notification of "You're In The Event" Work?

they point a gun at you and pull the trigger.

if you didn't make the cut, you get a bullet.

if you DID make the cut, you get a little flag that says "SUCKER!" and you go scour ebay for a helmet
