Topic: Mustang II hub compatibility?
I'm posting here because this is a personal project, not a soon-to-be LeMon. I recently bought a basketcase '61 Sunbeam Alpine. It came with no brakes, and front suspension parts (like wheel bearing seals) are expensive or hard to find. I found out that Mustang II spindles will swap onto it with a bit of machining. Now I'm trying to find a 4-lug hub with a divorced rotor that will bolt onto the Mustang II spindle and can be scrounged in a junkyard. I'm getting a set of '93 Mustang 4cyl front spindles/hubs/rotors/brakes for free, but I have no idea if the hubs will bolt onto the MII spindle. The donor told me about Factory Five's adapter to use Mustang struts with an upper A-arm, but they're $70 a piece, and I'm not as confident they'll work with the Sunbeam's geometry. Anybody up on Ford swap-ability enough to tell me what will work? I am aware there are 11" Grenada rotors out there, but they're one-piece hub/rotors, and I really, REALLY prefer divorced rotors.
