Topic: World's most out of date billboard?

Seen in San Francisco on Sutter, between Leavenworth and Hyde. Come to think of it, I'd love to rent a Sterling or late 80s Alfa if one was available to rent.

Was that like a spot where they just pulled off a billboard and that was underneath? I  can't see how that 1988ish ad wouldn't be more weathered, never mind that someone else might want to pay for the spot in the ensuing three decades...

It's a good question. As far as effective placement for a billboard...it's not in a great place. There is a newer apartment building that has gone up that impedes most of the view, so my guess is that it is no longer rented (and hasn't been for a while).

It is in pretty good shape. You'd think that in a sooty city like SF, it wouldn't be so nice and white after all these years.
