Those guys did the same thing to me in Colorado a few years back. Then tried to play it off like nothing happened. "Oh, I hit you? Are you sure it was me?"

Sadly I messed up cards in the boom camera on Saturday.  All that for no vid, especially while P1 in B.
Sunday was a trainwreck, and those cards didnt make it home with me.

Judge Sanjeev was looking for who smacked the back if the Green Trecel, and that team was really shook up after that.....

It looks like the other contact caused them to slow right in front of you.....

Not sure about the shook up part, because the Green Corolla was my teammate.
That inside line was a wreck waiting to happen after the Yellow flags came in.  So you see both of our cars took the far outside the rumble strip line to avoid that fray.  Safest line and still on the track, and the Capri still collected us.  They saw the video on Saturday and apologized for the low probability line that they took and failed at.

Re: MSR Houston 2015 Videos...

That was one of our drivers in the accord, he said he was not sure who hit who,  I don't think he knew the capri was there. We were pitted next to the corolla they told us Sunday morning they were involved in the same accident but got hit by one of their other cars.  That poor corolla had a rough weekend.

Maybe it was a different incident he was talking about.... things always get crazy after the full course yellow. Lemons teams are usuallly good about owning up to incidents

It's a top secret design I came up with which helps provide extra down-force at speed.  In retrospect, I probably should have spent more time trying to figure out how to make the engine less prone to self destruction.  Eh, live and learn......

I hope so...I dont need the brown man keeping me down!
I had a great plan going into that turn with all the traffic, stay wide, and stay wide.  Definitely wasnt "hit your teammate"  but somehow I did.  Even watching the video, I should have left myself more of an out to hit the field vs. the collision, but highsights 20/20 I smoked em, and never foresaw the collection of 3 cars pushing outside in my forward plan.  Damn them for not sticking to my plan!!!!  LOL

Red & White TARP Cookie Monster here:

I too hit the green 24 Corrola.  But I came in without being flagged voluntarily and was immediately escorted back out of the box (we were planning on driver switch anyway).  No one was hunting me down so if the Judge was looking for somoene it might have been a 3rd contact they had?? Mine must have happened after the first incident because that huge smash in the back was already there.

I felt bad and hunted around the paddock at the end of the day afterwards and found the driver to own up to my part.  This was the first time I've ever had contact with another car.  I honestly wasnt sure about what happened until I pulled the video later that night.  I saw the damage on the car.  It was HUGE!  I didnt think I had done all of that.

The driver (short name? Mike, Jake?) said, oh no, you didnt do that.  You hit this small spot here on the corner and pointed to something I could barely see.  My teammate did the big damage.  He didnt seem too bothered by our contact.  He informed me they were hit from behind several times including the big one by their own team-mate.

Here's the video of my contact with him.

At that time this happened we were running in 1st place (had been for about an hour and a half).  I'm by far the most inexperienced on our team, this is my 5th race. I guess I was a bit giddy because in general when I hop in the car, we move down in the ranks until the faster drivers get back in and make up for my time.   I think I got a little too big for my britches when they told me I was in first and was probably getting a bit too aggressive.  Just not necessary in a 14 hour race, and I'm still learning when to make better passes and be a safer driver..

For some more video viewing pleasure: Here's my fast lap for the weekend -- one of the only ones I wasnt dodging traffic. https://youtu.be/-aY16caalTo

--

As many of you saw, after this small contact I hopped out of the car in 2nd place.  The new driver hopped in, was killing it.  Then the sun conspired with a filthy windshield and a tirewall on the front straight and that was the end of our race and our car.  We bought a new one a few days ago and hoping to be able to get it ready for Barber....http://forums.24hoursoflemons.com/viewtopic.php?id=31708

Re: MSR Houston 2015 Videos...

I was the one driving when the minor contact from Cookie Monster happened - my name was Jay when you found us in the paddock - I truly appreciate you finding me and I do take some blame as well as I was already looking at the next corner when cutting down at that corner and didn't see you coming in the small side mirror. My other teammate in our Honda was behind the CM and I am waiting on footage from that angle as well.

yes very minor with a small amount of paint transfer compared to the raping our teammate gave us and as you can tell from his video not much anyone could do there - just to many cars in the same place and really the Capri should have not made the move they did and nothing would have happened.  They owned up to that after seeing the footage as well in the paddock.

To bad for the car as it was a nice car and I am sure fun to drive.

Good luck on the new build.
