Topic: 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee help

So my brother is having cold start problems with his Jeep. It turns over with gusto and the battery checks out good. It's not starting though, for at least 8 attempts at cranking. It's not throwing any codes and no CEL. It's a v6.

So...fuel delivery??

Re: 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee help

TIPM (Totally integrated power module, whatever the F that is) seems common-ish after a quick google search.

Looks to be expensive though.

Re: 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee help

I had a similar issue with my 2011.    It was some kind of electronics module under the passenger seat that needed to be replaced.   Not sure if that was the TIPM, but it was something very similar.

Great vehicle, as that was about the only issue I had with mine for 90,000 miles.    I loved my Jeep, but it was a little squirrely for towing my race car and trailer.

Thanks for the advice; it turned out to be the TIPM. Intermittent issue, too. Weird.

He traded it in yesterday for 1100 sq ft in Brooklyn.
