Topic: Windows 10 and pop ups

I had to get a new laptop.  It came loaded w/windows10.  I'm writing this from my iPad because the new laptop fills the entire screen with pop ups every time I try to load a topic on this forum.  I'm using Chrome and have set it to block pop ups but it hasn't helped.

I never had this problem with Windows 7.

It's just not this forum, some other but not all sites have this problem.

Any ideas other than "I should bought a Mac"?

You got a virus/malware.

Download malwarebytes free: https://www.malwarebytes.org/dl-confirm/
Run that.

Download adwcleaner: https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdown … dwcleaner/
Run that.

Once chrome is clean, get ad block plus: https://adblockplus.org/
install that as an extension on chrome.

yea, that does not sound like an OS issue at all.

Get it clean, then keep it clean. I've been running nothing more than Microsoft security essentials for years, and have not caught anything in that time. I also go out of my way not to click on dumb things.
