has anyone ever ran a mid/late 70's amx?
I almost did, found a 79 amx 304 4 speed, but being Minnesota it was way too far gone from rust... sad days
Re: AMX Nurburgring Documentary
Note, it was an AMC Sprit, not AMX.
And if you change ONE word in the headline: Americans to Lemons
When the Americans conquered the Nürburgring with a AMC Spirit
With the help of a one-armed racing instructor named Heinz.
It would proably be more believable

Fritz
Technically, it was both. The AMX nameplate was used on the Spirit for the '79 and '80 model years to denote the high performance versions. It came with unique fender flares, spoilers, sport suspension, aluminum wheels, and wicked cool decals.

If I were to choose a Matchbox car that picture above is the car I would choose.

Re: AMX Nurburgring Documentary
Wow! That is the model for a wrap up video. I want to see implemented in future for Lemons wrap ups...
- Avoid providing much actual information. Just confuses most people.
- Much more cheesy production music!
- Faux in-car shots with someone bouncing the car
- Pad out the middle with a lot of out-of-focus arty night shots and cheesy music
Nonetheless, thanks much for posting. I loved watching it.

Note: I stand corrected!
I was thinking Javelin/AMX. Interesting Javelin page:

My best friend in high school had a Pacer X
