Probably B
How is it set up? What kind of mods?
I agree with derekste though, with any kind of normal prep, it's probably B class
Our SC2 first gen 5-speed was Class B...Judge Phil wanted A but finally realized we were clueless. Subsequent races were all B.
Right now plans would be to just cage it and hope for the best, the car has 220,000 miles on it right now and was a tow in for my shop. I had a key made for it and it started right up, problem was it wouldn't move from it's resting spot I'm thinking of trying to find a C class car just for the pure fun of it and wondered if this would be a possible choice?

Likely have to get an SOHC auto to get C...even then miht be a stretch.
I can basically give you Buick 3800 Pontiac Transport. It is a proven Class C loser in race config (this is our Spare, Spare, Spare driving parts car). I can tell you the secrets to making the brakes not horrible, too.

You will start in B and could end up in A. It depends on how good you are and the track layouts. Elmo was an SL2 5-speed and we won class B at Monticello. We were promoted into class A for a few races but eventually got pushed back down to Class B after numerous reliability issues. We were pushing the car so hard to even compete in A, that things would start failing.
The thing with the Saturn is that if you put good pads on them and set up the alignment, they handle really well and you can out-brake a LOT of cars. We didn't need to brake until deep into the corners. They are a lot of fun to drive and will hold up well in B. The downside is that they don't have the HP to compete in Class A.

The solution? LS swap!
