This does bring up the question to me, what can be learned from this about roll cage footwell protection?
Time to employ some rally car technology. They put bracing through the engine bay (among other places.) Most Lemons (and associated orgs) cages have nothing additional forward of the A pillar. We rely on the factory crash structures which aren't all that robust in a 100+mph impact. (esp. when the 87 factory airbags have been removed)
