Been looking for something different. Found a 73 Opel Gt i can get atwhat i think is a deal. How well do these cars handle? Any major problems? Are parts easy to get? Thanks in advance. Scotty
We've had a couple of Opel GTs, including one that won the Index Of Effluency (top). Both were total basket-case cars that sat for decades before being turned into race cars, so they've had some reliability problems. Handling wasn't too bad, considering the age of the cars.
We're hoping to get an Opel Manta one of these days. The German Camaro!

That's the same one in the top photo (#60). They stripped off all the paint between races.

The "No Fat Shiksas" car from Houston was pretty damn fast when running. Doesn't it have a 4.3 Vortec in it?

If by 4.3 Vortec you mean some ancient GM V6 yanked out of some terrible-ass Buick, with a carburetor....

Naw, GTs are too easy to find, you need a Manta or a Kadette!
