Topic: REDUCED! 1988 Mazda RX7, Chattanooga TN, Almost race ready! $1750 obo
1988 Mazda RX7 GXU
This is the NA model that came stock with LSD and turbo brakes
Has not been raced since 2014. As it stands, the car is race ready aside from needing a motor.
We have lost interest in Lemons, and I’m tired of storing the car.
Car is very controllable at the limits and fun to drive
Easy on consumables such as brakes and tires
It’s a rotary
To clear the cage for our taller drivers, the seat is bolted to the floor means there is no adjustability. Shorter drivers have to sit on foam.
The existing exhaust system hangs lower under the car than I like. It tends to hand loading and unloading the car from the trailer.
Engine heat management has been our challenge that we never got a good hold on. The major failures we’ve had have occurred on hot days with drivers that don’t look at the gauges. We’ve popped two motors this way.
It’s a rotary.
