Topic: Weird OBD2 connection error problem

2007 Jeep Compass.  2.4L.  My Innova code reader returns an error while trying to link to the car's OBD2 system.  Code reader works on every other car I own.  MIL is lit.  Confirmed pin 16 has 12v and pin 4 is grounded (as is pin 5).  Didn't measure values on other two pins as not sure what to measure for.  Connector and wiring are clean and look unmolested.  Cars runs/drives fine.  Anyone see something like this before?

Re: Weird OBD2 connection error problem

Seen this before..  Code readers need to be periodically updated to be compatible with the latest model years.  Some can have their firmware updated.  Othertimes, you just have to buy a new one.  Try a different reader.
