Topic: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

We have decided to put our rusted out 74 Fury E86 HP 440 K police car in the Houston Lemons race. Two of us are heading over to New Orleans to meet with the tech folks and get the lay of the lemon etc etc. Look forward to meeting ya'll. Buford T. Justeaux

Re: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

Car sat in the weeds so long the crank pulley bottom rotted and the open valves rotted and fell on the piston. That is why engine was froze. It was on a giant fork lift heading for the crusher. We got the whole car for $300 but the RARE speedo was missing but drivetrain all there. Bought a $100 head on ebay and cleaned driveline. It still has some "GO" left in it. A real tire fryer with 3.23 posi.

Re: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

VERY valuable visit to the track. Met with tech inspectors with pics of the project. Met fellow racers and looked at various setups. Gatherd a lot of tips and info. Thanks to all that contributed so start build next week. Phish

Re: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

This is the funniest car/theme I've seen in years. The pics of the names all over the trunk and the long burnout just say it all. Good luck!

Uhhh, Buford ... Sorry, I apologize; Mr. Justeaux ....

[May I call you Bubba? If I meet you, I'll probably slip and call you Bubba out of habit - I have a good friend named Buford whom I call Bubba - I apologize in advance if this offends you - let me know....]

... You forgot your _own_ name on the trunk.....

Re: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

Bubba is fine, but I will be Joliet Jake in the tow car below. Great Race Bluesmobile has a hitch. We are not thru with lettering, Buford T. and Junior Justeaux will abound as well as Pull over  "SumBitch". AND I am going to say it again! There ain't no way you are from my loins! When I get home I am going to punch yo' momma' in the mouth. LOL Maybe we can squeeze in "bag of monkey nuts" PUN? You have to LOVE Jackie Gleason in that movie..

Re: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

We met at the NOLA race; my team drives the NASA-themed Dodge Dart. Looking forward to seeing both of these fantastic piles of Detroit iron in Houston.

Oddly enough... just today a bunch of us drove my other '64 Dart in the Houston Art Car Parade, and the car right behind us was a pristine 1980 Pontiac Bonneville done up like Buford T. Justice's cruiser. The car had a PA, and the driver had the act down perfectly.

Re: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

The GOOD is all doors open and close, windows roll up and down, great glass and sweeps. The BAD is the cop bench seat and the free tools. The UGLY, you figure it out. Justeaux

Re: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

The Fury floors came out with the floor mat. We would look like the Flintstones. Too far gone but a real cop motor that runs good on regular gas...No worries, found a Monaco for $500. Always wanted to paint a vinyl top!!

Mopar or Nocar. Strip the vinyl it saves weight lol.

And with all the extra vinyl, you could make a couch with some left over.  Just kidding guys, looking forward to seeing this beast run the track at MSR in November.

Re: New Team CAJUN PEAUX PEAUX

This is our motor and we took a DNA sample. I think that is the oil pan, trans lines and the starter. We have oil, mouse poo, mouse hair, cat hair, one human hair and 40 years of Nebraska dirt. Never had a wrench on it. Runs pretty darn good with original Lean Burn system.  Will it pass tech dirty? (fire hazard) Or do we clean it and put some fresh VC gaskets on it. Nastyeaux
