Roof attachment points on roll cage?

I'd imagine as long as whatever you have mounted doesn't -

- compromise the cage (i.e, leave the tubing intact with no notching/grinding/drilling, but welded tabs are OK)

or

- pose an intrusion hazard when you go ass-over-teakettle

you'd be OK.

Muffler clamps (u-bolts) around the cage would be another good option (if you remember to get them more than 3 days before the race and then don't lose them again in the pile of hardware in the corner of the shop. . . )

To run the official Jaguar bespoke roof ornament, I made a t-shaped base plate that sandwiched the roof. At the end of the bracket I welded a c-shaped piece of tubing that fit the outside of the cage tubing and clamped it in place.
