#7 is available now if you want it.
Looks like my local business owner was right about the block party. Take a look at the satellite view on Google maps of the proposed location in the town square. That area looks to be at least half, if not more, of the area we have been alloted in the past.
Glad I am getting in before it is gone all together.
According to the Lemons email, the venue for the party changed due to road construction. Seems like a legitimate excuse. Anyway, party on grass is just as much fun and easier on the feet. Embrace the change! ;-)
"staging area at 601 Meeting St., Camden SC, across the street from the Revolutionary War Park (in previous years the staging area was AT the Revolutionary War Park--now it's across the street)."

"*Due to construction, the Lemons parking area will not be directly on Broad St. as it has been in previous years--instead it'll be right on the town square and the surrounding access roads. Please bring a cardboard sheet or drip pan to catch leaks. "
I'm not sure what the "Town Square" of Camden is. Google isn't helpful. Oh well- we'll figure it out.
Found this:

Address is 1015 Market Street
Can I just say, I love Camden. They put Lemons on their town's website.
Take a look at this map. Previously we were given the entire length, both sides and the middle, of the block on Broad Street (on the left of the image) as well as the next block after Broad St. crosses Rutledge. Now see that little square in the center? That's where we'll be this time. It's no fault of Lemons of course, but it still sucks.
Well this should be interesting
I checked out the map on google Earth. Looks like there's room for a dozen or so car on each side of the square. So that's 48 cars. Then there's adjacent streets all around the perimeter, so another ~50 cars can fit there. And a couple of other nearby streets should fit the rest. It's a short walk down the alley to get to Broad street where the local businesses are; I bet some even have rear entrances that open to the park. Having the big open square (where a band or whatever could set up) looks like fun. I'm cautiously optimistic.
I'll be there with my two fine Korean cars.
One looks better than the other.
As I count there are 117 cars registered for the race. If that holds up that will be a good amount for this race.
If the Parking lot for the Block Party only hold 50 that's going to be interesting

Thats a great turnout for CMP, should make for some really interesting moments on track with that many cars...
Oh and where are those fine Korean cars at? I don't see them....
