Topic: Schumacher Taxi Service looking for permanent teammates

A little bit about the team:  We've been doing Lemons for 10 years now.  We've done some outrageous cars including a completely cut down Crown Vic that was nothing but a cage and a wing.  We've done the stupidly fast cars - V6s in an MR2.  But we've settled down and now enjoy going to the track and hanging out with 200+ of our friends.  We race a '89 Mustang in B.  We do well but we've done everything we can to make it reliable vs. fast.  So our success is through good team manners vs. the go fast SRZ BZNS teams.

But having done this for so long, teammates come and go.  So we are looking for a couple more people to fill in where others have left.  We like to do 3-4 races a year - NJMP, CMP Fall, Road Atlanta, and typically one more.  For 2019, we would like to do some combination of CMP Spring (24 hours), NJMP, Barber, RA, CMP Fall, and would entertain options to drive further.  We've done Thompson and NHMS before and between the drives, paddock, tracks, etc. if given a choice we would prefer not to go back.  Races typically cost between $700-$1000.

The cars are located in the Doylestown area (about 5 miles north of Philadelphia) of PA.

Send me a message via this forum and I'll get back to you.

We won the IOE at Southern Discomfort.
We got screwed at The Real Hoopties of New Jersey  and we took cars down with us.
We got the curse at Capitol Offense but they wouldn't let us destroy the car.

Re: Schumacher Taxi Service looking for permanent teammates

If I come across anyone down your way, I'll point them toward you.  I'm kinda looking for additional team mates up here in northeastern CT, since Steve and I are each going to have a car, there will be some races with 2 cars to fill.  We are calling ourselves a 2 car team at this point, sharing resources (but not parts, since he favors a GTi Lemon for some reason).

Re: Schumacher Taxi Service looking for permanent teammates

Hey Rob - I think I'm a little too far from the home base to consider going permanent, but I'd like to be on the reserve list if possible. As of now, the Turtle team is planning to be back at NJMP as there are no conflicts for the new date (yet)...but if that doesn't pan out, I'll be reaching out.

For anyone else considering the chance, I've raced with Rob's team and had a great time and would race with them again. The team is very organized and well run (IMO), and car is competitive in class and overall - and reliable too!

Thanks Tim!

I'll definitely keep you in the loop.  We are looking for drivers for a couple of races next year.  I'll reach out as things get closer.

Re: Schumacher Taxi Service looking for permanent teammates

Also too far to be of much help other than driver/crew at events. I'm near Louisville, KY.

We are trying to get a project started here, but you know how that goes.

I've driven for one stint at Barber last year before the trusty Slant 6 in the Valiant finally called it quits.

Another team mate wants to get involved as well. He's a handy wrench and has the enthusiasm and great attitude. Wants to drive.

Please consider Rob & Adam from KY if you can't scrape up anyone else... ;-)
