No you may not. The northeast goes through this every Halloween race, no coolant, water only. Tips from the north east, if you have access to power find an old work light that uses a real bulb, and leave it on all night in your engine bay, they make a lot of heat and will keep things warm. One of these work really well.

Focus the warmth on your radiator. The block will take a while to drift in temp, but the radiator will drop faster. Keep the radiator warm and you'll be ok.

I don't think we'll have power (except a generator), so I'll probably just drain & refill in the morning
To avoid issues with frozen cooling systems and to take full advantage of the partial repeal of the Cruisin' or Stuntin' or Splodin' rule we should all just plan to drive slowly around the paddock all night. It'll be like a true 24-hour race but with even less point to it.
Yeah, there is no power at Inde (unless you can rent a garage from a member). It's pretty primitive. They do have a bathroom though.
Primitive is hardly fair. I meen they have an air field. But yea no power water hook ups or shade. There is a really nice hot shower.
Why not add some 90% rubbing alcohol to keep water from freezing. methanol might be better? Not sure about hoses and the such.

Rubber, methanol... What could go wrong?
Anything you add to your cooling system overnight that isn't water has to be flushed out before your car hits the track in the morning. Doesn't matter if it's antifreeze, alcohol, bath salts, Kool-Aid, or the blood of your teammates.
Actually, Kool-Aid might be okay for all the good it'll do. You should email John Pagel.

3.K.2 Coolant. Coolant must be water only–no antifreeze, anti-boil, water-wetter, or other additives allowed. (That stuff is slippery–when your car pukes its guts all over the track, we don’t want to be sliding around in it.) A functional catch tank is mandatory.
