Topic: Potluck dinner Saturday night at High Plains Raceway: BE THERE

We're going to have our traditional potluck dinner at the B.F.E. GP this year, Saturday night after the track goes cold. The action will be centered around the covered spaces, as it was last year. Bring tables, chairs, disco lights, cooking gear, side dishes, drinks, whatever you can. The teams that do the best job feeding their fellow racers (quantity and/or quality) may well be given preferential grid positions to start the race on Sunday. Many calories will be consumed. Be there!

In addition (and track officials permitting), we'll be having a bike ride around the track on Friday night. Bring your goofiest bicycles or other human-powered vehicles, preferably with lights and/or sound systems.

Any of you racers coming to HPR, be sure to join the Colorado Lemons Mafia Facebook group. Remember, if you don't answer the questions that verify you're a real or potential HPR racer, you don't get accepted (unless I recognize your name, but don't count on that).

CEL Meowgical Racing will have a taco bar set up in carport #12. See you all at the race!!

Phil, I love the cold track bike ride idea. This should be a regular part of every race. Doesn’t cost anything, is a good opportunity for making friends, and the Real Racers (TM) can get a close look at “The Line” and read the track surface.

We (Petrosexuals with the caddiata) should have some pulled pork sandwiches, Were making 16lbs to eat ourselves and share. The bike ride will be fun, last year we did it saturday night and it was a blast. Some of us will be arriving later friday night so all of us may not make the bike ride, but we'll likely do it again Saturday either way.

We can't wait. It's been a long week.
