Topic: 1992 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo

I picked one up for $550 a couple of years ago.  For a while now I've been thinking I might want to restore it.

OR

How great would it be to race?  How much hate should I expect to get for ruining a classic?  There were less than 7,000 of these sold and when you brake it down by colors and options there would only be a few hundred or less like mine ever made.

That aside, it has a 3800 series 1 and a 4T60E transmission.  I'm no mechanic but my understanding is this is a good thing from a Lemons perspective.

You should race it.  Judge Phil would be happy.

There have been older Toronados that have 'raced'.

Sell parts and the rest are now more valuable all while making a epic Lemons car.

Do it, worse has happened....     I got one that had been used by a groom for a couple horse show seasons, interior thrashed, silver paint decimated, touch screen CRT radio/climate control a single flat line (had to go on the web to see one working as to touch it in the right places) trunk full of hay... Wanted to save more before running it in a couple Crash-a Rama events... All that's left are some rims, hubcaps and a taillight that got dropped in storage..
