Topic: Brake line bulkhead fitting?

I'm building a brake system from scratch and curious about the best way to pass lines thru the firewall. My master cylinders for brake and clutch will be in the pedal area and I'll be passing the lines thru the firewall. I'm trying to decide if it's worth using bulkhead unions or if I should just pass the lines thru rubber grommets. I figure a bulkhead fitting will be more stable but adds another potential place to leak. Thoughts?

Re: Brake line bulkhead fitting?

I'd use a grommet. The bulkhead fitting is just extra expense on a Lemons car. If I was building a street car or a pro style race car then I might consider such a fitting.

I’m dealing with Jaguar brakes and no one makes a Bluetooth to bubble flare adapter
