Topic: Potlucks are making a return! Saturday night 7/24 at ORP

I am so excited to announce that with the world starting to open back up, Lemons officials are feeling more comfortable about having Saturday night potlucks again.  The trial run of the 2021 race season will be on Saturday July 24th at ORP.

Please bring a dish that can feed a couple dozen people.  Hot dishes, cold dishes, desserts, beer, whatever you want to contribute is always welcomed.  My team will provide plates, bowls, eating utensils, etc. 

We plan to bring some outdoor games to play but please feel free to bring entertainment type contributions and help us make this potluck revival a great one!

If COVID restrictions force us to cancel the potluck, we will try to give you advanced notice, but otherwise we hope to see you all there!

We're in for Boozy Snickerdoodles, Standard Snickerdoodles, Chocolate Chip Cookies and watermelon. We will also be bringing Cornhole boards.

Quattro Idiots are in!! We are looking forward to joining all of you other idiots for dinner. We will *probably* do a Polish dog/Bratwurst fry with onions. We are open to suggestions and/or encouragement. Also, is strip poker a proper outdoor game?

We love the polucks and are happy to bring 'stuff'. Not sure yet what to bring, though would love to hear suggestions of what goes over well - and what kind of quantities we should consider.

Traditionally there are plenty of meats, sides, etc but at least in the Midwest, rarely enough desert stuff that is easy to eat standing up.  Biggest hit ever was at the first NCM race when a guy had a freezer full of cheap ice cream novelties.

No matter what you bring, make it enough for about 20+ people.

Low Road Racing will try and wrangle a keg of Rainier's finest. We will also bring some games (corn hole, ladder golf, etc).

So, we here at Wreckreational Racing in addition to being very amateur racers, are amateur brewers.  For this race we brewed a keg of beer which is currently fermenting and we will bring it and all the serving equipment.  Here's the issue, the recipe we used is a for a pale ale brewed with agave nectar and limes but for the Lemons race, we substituted Lemons for the limes.  Seemed appropriate to make a beer with Lemons for the Lemons race but I cannot make any promises as far as how the Lemons are going to affect the flavor.  Its a fun experiment for sure but it's probably not a coincidence that beer brewed with Lemons hasn't taken the world by storm.  Either way, here we go!  Cheers

Danger zone racing will bring some BLT Mac (or other noodle) salad.  Possibly some desserts and games as well.

Quattro Idiot Dads will cook up Bratwursts and Bangers in onions. We are bringing buns, ketchup, and mustard. That's it. If you want cheese and tomatoes, bring them. We have a fun outdoor game idea. Tazer Tag. Everyone has a tazer. The last person conscious and not having a seizure is the winner.

Wreckreational racing brewed a specific Lemons themed beer and will be bringing a keg of that for all to imbibe. It's a pale ale style with a lemony zest!

We were planning to bring a bunch of sweet potato  fries, onion rings, and potato wedges.  Maybe 4 large orders of each?

Also some vanilla orange individual ice cream cups, and boxes of fudge pop ice cream. Maybe 25 servings of each?

Does that work for folks?
