Re: Name that G.L.C.O.A.T. contest

Definately has to have something to do with a train and SR-71...

SR-71 was originally the A-12 when the CIA commisioned the program...

used in black ops and top echelon espionage...

It has twin wankels with the right exhaust (turbo?) setup it can sound like a jet engine at boost...

After burner??

The SR-71 was primarily used to spy on russia who has built the GT1-001... the worlds fastest turbine powered locomotive producing 11,000hp.

Was this thing built around the cold war? It was no doubt envisioned during this era...

Random thoughts... any thoughts?

okay, I think seriously if Jeff & Company haven't seen it yet, they'll need to do a little research:

How about Octomom Express?  Eight car seats with eight screeming babies?  Pushes every cringe inducing button I can think of.

Needs two more wheels for that.

Re: Name that G.L.C.O.A.T. contest

lots of stuff has eight wheels...

But two rotaries?

The Double Wank.

"This is the scene where I get shot," Bronson said. "I have these little squibs that explode to make it look like bullets are hitting." "Fascinating," said Bergman. "I never knew how they did that." "You mean," asked Bronson, "you don't use machine guns in your movies?"

Re: Name that G.L.C.O.A.T. contest

So it's been two years since I bought this magnificent beast, and we have yet to call it anything but the octocar or GLCOAT.

I still like Knight Train, F28 Street Fighter, and Phantom Menace. Any other good suggestions?

Captain: Speedycop & The Gang Of Outlaws -'94 Mark VIII (Least Horrible Yank Tank Stafford '09, NOLA '10) '61 Caddy (Org Choice-NL '09) '63 Tbird (EPIC Repair Failure-Gingerman '10, I Got Screwed-Summit Pt '10, I.O.E. WINNER Stafford '10!) '77 Lancia Scorpion (I.O.E. WINNER Joliet 2010!) '67 Galaxie 500 (Judges Choice-CMP '11)
Future Fleet: 1957 Ford Prefect 1942 Buick 1959 Bugeye Project GLCOAT

Re: Name that G.L.C.O.A.T. contest

I've always referred to my '69 Caddy as "The Behemoth", but I think it would work just as well on that monstrosity.

Re: Name that G.L.C.O.A.T. contest

I think octocar works pretty well.  Anything like Phantom Menace ends up sounding like a 12-year-old named it.  Which is fine in a way but also a bit embarrassing.

Or maybe just name it Steve.  That's a pretty solid name.

Re: Name that G.L.C.O.A.T. contest

I think a name like the "BMWhatever" is more successful.  So maybe something like RXocho?  RX8 is taken.  RX8000000?
