Topic: When is someone going to run a Ford EXP or Mercury LN7?

I have not EXP since 1988. It was my EX Gfs and I recall it being a really slow car. I think the escorts are faster.
Or why not find a Omni GLH.. or a Vega?
I tried to find one a couple of years back. It's like they all disappeared into a black hole or something.
I've been looking for an LN7 for a couple of years... they seem to be the one true causality of the Y2K bug (thanks again Al Gore) as they no longer exist.
....and then I do a craiglist search and there's an 85 EXP for $400 in DC.
Here's an EXP, $400 Houston, ex Tennesee car.

how funny, Brian and Joe and I were discussing these on the way back to TX from Nelson Ledges. I recall R&T and C&D were given Showroom-Stock EXPs/LN7s by FoMoCo for endurance races back in the day and it made for some good magazine articles.
I would gladly rock an EXP or LN7, but as mentioned they've seemed to vanish for the most part.
I am giving serious consideration to a first-gen EXP for next year. Besides the fact that these cars were the progenitors of the "Ex"-themed Ford badges, the first-gen cars were so hideously ugly that it could almost be a consolation for my failure thus far to find a suitable Fuego. I actually found an '83 EXP on CL that looks good. And by good, I mean that the paint is all flaking off, revealing the yellowed rubber/urethane/whatever the nose is made of.
They are pretty slow, though. Even compared to a Fuego.
I could have had a running, rust-free EXP for free about 10 years ago, but I didn't have any use for it at the time.
my friend had one of these in highschool. every time i remember the thing I think what a great Lemons car they could be if i could find one close by...
I've seen these in the local pick a part here in Charleston...
We're using a 1st gen Escort, basically the same car. They shared the same engine, Some even came equipped with turbo(the EXP).

Not the final product!
