We got three Ducati mufflers in the deal and were contimplating this very thing: 3 mufflers, 12 cylinders. It should atleast sound like a Lambo then.

We found a suitable parts car.
http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/544676_509026795799818_1996550677_n.jpg
It has everything we need for the build: subframes, V12 engine, transmission, suspension and brakes.
The best part is the Jag has 55k miles and was had for only $800 (semi-running)

Essentially, we will be running a 1988 Jaguar XJS V12, rebodied as the Lemons Supercar. everything will be transfered from one car to the other.
Hopefully this will put us in Class C, but still give us a bajillion laps.
Besides, the 300 HP V12 is going to dominate...
http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/553788_509029259132905_725467785_n.jpg
until it overheats and fuses iron to aluminum.

The Jag features the best of the Dark Lord Lucas, with some added in goodies to help butcher the electrical even further

If I had an XLS for Lemons, I'd race it as an XLS. It's just to cool to be a donor to me.

Of course with 12 cylinders of bliss, I could not afford the cash to noise ratio.

I would swap the right intake manifold with the left so they meet in the center then weld up a new center plenum and throw a 4bbl on it.

I understand, it's like the commercial with all the kids saying more is better. So get a less cool donor for the more cool car and have 2 cool cars.

That sounds like an easy Lemons tri-power. 1 4bbl with mechanical secondaries, with the secondaries connected to a 2nd Holley 350 or 500cfm 2bbl.

I finally collected 3 matching 1bbl Holleys for our Ford straight six, so that may be coming before the end of the year. I would just have them all open together though.

Wasn't the Aston engine just based on 2 Ford Durotech V6 motors anyway? I would suggest just 1 Ford Durotech, with a empty place where the other 6 cylinders would go.

Based on my experiences with bad information provided by British car freaks, I'll bet it's a 95% direct bolt-in, with the other 5% requiring three weeks of fabrication.

I would not be surprised if you can get the Jag front fenders to almost bolt right up too. Maybe not match the doors or the grill, but close.
