Re: What part constitutes "the car"?

The add appears gone.  Could someone have bought it?

Re: What part constitutes "the car"?

Well, apparently someone else from this forum bought it and will prep it for the Lemons.  I'll refrain from mentioning future possibilities smile

I do have new pictures, and will post them later.

(edit for clarity)

Re: What part constitutes "the car"?

Here's my assessment: actually pretty well built and a lot smaller than I expected. I look forward to seeing how it does on the track.  The owner told me it has overheating problems, and looking at the airflow I can believe it.

The hood looks like something off a tractor.
That thing is so awesome. I can't wait to see it on the track.

Be still my heart.

I think I'm in lust.

You bought this fine machine? Happy day!

Hey, I'd like to write about this amazing race car on Jalopnik. Could you email me some full-resolution photos of it?

Re: What part constitutes "the car"?

OH

MY

GOD.

you're going to actually run this in Lemons?

this is (PCH + Lemons)^10.

guys. I think we should all considered the bar raised!

Re: What part constitutes "the car"?

Actually, someone else from here sniped it from me.  Ah well, all is fair in love and Lemons.  From what the seller told me, the other buyer plans on running it in the Dallas Lemons race.

He'd better, I'll be -pissed- if it doesn't show up on track.  Maybe I should have skipped the NASCAR races...

Re: What part constitutes "the car"?

Now imagine a Lemons race in which most of the vehicles are Humber Sceptres, '49 Henry Js, over-the-top art cars, and backyard monstrosities like this, all piloted by super-skilled racers. That's what we're shootin' for!

Remember, that thing is part Nissan and therefor related to the Z.

I hope they race it in Dallas so I can drool on it in person.

So what's the drive train anyway?

SHUT UP! You didn't get this? I didn't either, but I sure wish that I had. 2 dead MR2's in the driveway and a garage full of garbooned engine parts is all that my pregnant wife will abide. Trust me, I tried to sell this one, but it had a chance of happening squarely between a snowball and hell.

This car had better make it to the race. Someone needs to pipe up about this car. And they'd better not do anything to "improve" the exterior.

Sorry you didn't get the car, brutha! There's always that hideous wide-body B210 or whatever that was down in Grand Prairie.

Re: What part constitutes "the car"?

Well, it's official.  The car is headed to west Texas with a guy named CJ.

I hope he's on the board and documents the build.

Back to the Maserati plan...or maybe this 62 Spitfire my buddy found.  Swing-axle for the handling, 4 cyl for the speed!
