Re: Pipe Dream! Lemons at Laguna Seca?

I vote for the old Pebble Beach track, used before Laguna Seca.  That one didn't use cones - just Pine trees.

Ever considered Texas World Speedway near College Station, TX? It actually has quite a history, and it's closer to DFW than Angleton. (Not meant in any way to disparage Angleton, they're about equidistant from me)

too narrow for Lemons
i've done some track days there on my sport bike and it was perfect for that.

It's a Miata, get him........

Really? I've never been on it, just driven past, and it's hard to tell from a satellite view. It would suck if they didn't have at least one crapcan friendly configuration. I have seen events for cars scheduled on their road course, though.

Too narrow? The oval is plenty wide. Plus it's been repaved. There are 3 or 4 1.9 mile or so configurations.

Boy that praying sure paid off. Lemons are coming to North Texas at ECR next June!

Just what a junkie needs, more juice. Please please please bring a race to North Texas! MotorSport Ranch Cresson or Eagle's Canyon would both be great. Please, pretty please, with sugar on top.

But not in June/July/August. It's brutal out there right now.

Yes first released by Faron Young, written by Willie Nelson.  Willie eventually recorded this song himself and it the version I prefer.  Kinda would like to hear a Me First cover of it though.

Re: Pipe Dream! Lemons at Laguna Seca?

Laguna has a 5-7 "open" dates when it comes to sound issues.  Skip Barber is there and they race a lot, because they are quiet. The issue is SOUND.  So Lemons in theory COULD race there if the sound window was acceptable. You would be surprised how much racing does take place there, but it has to be quiet.  I would suspect that Lemons cars would have to quieter than what is allowed by the rules now.  It IS possible

Re: Pipe Dream! Lemons at Laguna Seca?

Sound is a non-issue for Lemons racers. We are required to pass a 90dB meter at our tech.

Most Laguna dates are 92db...

We will bring every "race" car we own if you guys get this on the schedule at ANY point... Even though a couple will get a million BS laps... it'll be fun to run them out there.
