Whatever it is, seems like an IOE candidate for sure. Plus, "make me an offer" is always a winner...

It is an IOE goldmine.
Also:
A lot of Manhattans came with factory superchargers.
That is a good looking car. Is there an engine in it? The front end is sitting really high.

Whoever brings it to its first race should certainly be prepared to say that there was an engine in it when purchased, yes.
We aren't going to care too much about the budget of a Kaiser Manhattan.

I am gutted that this got away. I work for the company that owns Kaiser. Yes, Virginia, Kaiser still exists, and they make Heads-Up Displays for fighter jets, so a built-in theme opportunity.

Off chance if you post in SF's autos section that you're looking for it again the guy may see it... if you're really that into it.

The second one you posted has been for sale forever. I actually looked at it on his lot last spring. But other bad decisions stopped me from taking this on.
But one of these would be cool.
Been reposted. For less! http://redding.craigslist.org/cto/5331943068.html
375 bucks. Just drop any engine/trans in, cage it, race, be instant Lemons Legends.
Any motor?
Purchased.

As your attorney*, I have to recommend that you do it!!
Based on the above quote, you're good for at least a race or two... Something will break, blow-up, or fall off in that time anyways. Do it, go fast in a vehicle that shouldn't

500ci Cadillac old school. Phil wants one of these, probably laugh at you in tech.
There's a good chance my 'Burb's 350 TBI and TH400 will end up in this thing. I've been wanting to do a Vortech and 4L80E swap into the 'Burb, which would leave me with a big chunk of metal that would be "perfect" for this project.
I feel like a Mad Men theme would be fitting. Put a big cherry on top...
You could get a factory supercharged Manhattan, so of course a blown GM 3800 would be a fine engine for this car. Or a supercharged Previa engine.
