Topic: Electric water pumps on lemony budget

My geo's new motor can't quite clear the chassis rail. I can't notch the rail because one goat. Crank pulley is entirely under the rail, so I can run the alternator down low, too - so I just need to eliminate the water pump belt and I'm set.

Anyone ever tried running a water pump with an electric motor? Like a 30amp Taurus motor or something. Surely this has been tried in Lemons before?

I mean, it's all the fancy ones use really. you know, but with R&D.

Lemons needs no R&D! unless it means Race & DOMINATE!

On the MetSHO we have used (1 race) the BMW electric waterpump unit (pierburg CWA400).  Durability is unknown on our car but it flows a ton of water.

We bought ours from ebay for about $40.
