I regretted not having my sunglasses the last 45 mins. That sun was insane. Guys were slamming brakes trying to leave the esses for that left.

I had a iridium tinted visor and it didn't help.  The afternoon sun is just brutal.

Brett, does your car have the worlds tallest 4th gear, or are you holding back?  In our car we were WELL into 5th gear on the back straight and were shifting from 4th to 5th under the flag stand on the front straight.

You car looks like a lot of fun.  Let me know if you have an open slot sometime.

Ha ha, it’s running 4:10 gears but we went to 16 inch wheels for this race made it a bit sluggish out of the corners if we got caught up but had plenty at the end of the straight. We were hitting 6400 rpm at around 118 mph into the braking zone. My brother tried 5th but it dropped the rpm too much.

The last lap or two when the sun started to drop were ok, I was kinda bummed to see the checkered flag.

I’ll keep you in mind for 2018 at this stage we are looking at Joliet, Colorado, Mid O with WRL and of course back to Atlanta.

If the back straight were about 300 feet longer, we would have been near the limiter even in 5th gear.  We were showing an indicated 120 MPH before we hit the brakes there.  Our came with 14's, but we switched to 15's because of tire availability and price.  Our tire wear was almost nil for  this race, which is great for the ole wallet!

BTW, it looks like we have the same shift light, but I never saw yours come on in the video?  I swapped in a kick-ass LED for ours and it's as bright as the sun.

Also, can your camera be moved forward at all?  You seem to have a great video of the passenger side dash.  smile

I did notice the shift light on Saturday morning when it was still a bit dark, but not in the afternoon, we all shift around 6200-6400 most of the time smile sometimes a little higher like at the 7250 rev limiter.

I prefer the cameras mounted on the roof, but its good to see the gauges and driver.
