I believe Stalin also drove (well, was driven in) a prewar Buick.
The first president of the Polish People's Republic, Bolesław Bierut, had a Buick of that generation (I believe it was a '46 Roadmaster sedan).
Other high goverment officials used to drive Chevies in the 50s, from '49 to '57 models.
