NJMP has an open day on Friday before the race. I'm sure they have others, but that's the one we blow up at.
We never test because we assume our car has a limited number of laps in it before total failure and want those all to happen at a race.
however.
Every race has a test day on friday that you're free to sign up for.
Outside that, look for the groups like SCDA that run track days. Most will allow your Lemons car if it will pass their safety inspection. Email them first though. Some tracks like NHMS I think will do test and tune days, but I've never attended one, so I don't know how they work. You can also consider an AutoX day as you'd get to look over the car after each run. I'm sure there are other options as well.
Hahaha valid point on the number of laps in the car. I was thinking more like not wanting to haul to NHMS and blow up there that would stink
tracknightinamerica have a lot of dates and Thompson, Palmar, NH, Lime rock too just got to look at each track. Some tracks have club days but you must make a friend and be asked to be a guest. That is how we did a lot of testing now we must find more friends at other tracks!! So if any of you have some friend in one of this clubs let me know I will hook them and you up for a test date !!

I was just talking to a guy and he was telling me about a road track in cannan nh they do half day track rentals for 2500 bucks with a car cap of 15 that would be 166 bucks per car has anyone ever done something like this seems pretty reasonable price wise

Regarding Track Night In America: "Drivers with racing licenses are strictly forbidden from operating racecars at Track Night for the purpose of testing/shaking down or other competition-related functions."
Not sure how strict that is but it seems to be specifically addressing this.
I guess you would have to ask we were here at Thompson testing on the club day and they said we could stay for the night run !! must of need the extra cash!! Bob Mann

I would be interested so we could shake down and let some of the "crew" get some time in the car.
