I'm going on a limb and saying we're not seeing a Mark 2 Jag anytime soon.
(yes, I'm aware of the Jagvair sequel, that's a mark 1 which is equally Lemony awesome but they have always been cheaper...)
Why the certainty on my part?
I got in a bidding war at an estate auction over one, a 1960, this weekend. Entire interior jammed with boxes of parts. No distributor or wires. Steering column in trunk. I think there might have been a steering wheel somewhere. Gas station bias ply tires from the 70s. A classic "basket case"...
I HAD to have it, didn't care it was a 3.4 not a 3.8, we were smitten. with auction fees I bid it over $4000 freaking dollars.
Didn't get it done. That one went over $5000 to win. Nobody REALLY starts with a $5000 basket case in Lemons. If you're building a $10,000 $500 car it ought to end up quicker
It was the same blue as the one in the article pic, hence I was moved to comment.
