Hey all!   I just got an E mail back from John!   John gave is the thumbs up on welding the door bars to the frame of the car, so long as we add spreader plates and maintain the 7.5 height rule.  He stressed that we needed to watch our height, something we are VERY aware of, thanks to me being over six foot tall. 

I post this now because I know there are a few other teams wanting to build these cars that are also watching and reading.   As always don't ASSUME, if you want to know...ask.

We finished plumbing in our fire system (I decided to move some of the nozzles) and we installed our new windshield!

We slipped the lexan into the stock window frame, glued into place with Lexel.  I made some tabs from scrap steel and an center support was welded for some extra protection.

LOL I made some wooden ones for our white T/A...but they never made onto the car. sad  I think we will use the stock covers on the black car...they are very light,.

Honestly guys I take no credit for how good the car looks.  The eyes, the numbers, and the stripes are all thanks to my team ANYWAYS.

The car will debut in October at Gingerman.   A track day or something between now and then...all depends on when the tires get here.
