In other Jaguar news, teammate Steve and I have started work on the RXJ6, a FC RX-7 that is getting a '97 XJ6 drivetrain. Funny side note: Bought the original Corvair and the '97 XJ6 donor from the same guy. Bought the Corvair, seller moved to Missouri, now bought the XJ6 from him after his kids wrecked it in Oregon. Small world (at least for undesirable cars).

More progress on "Her Majesty's" intake manifold this week as I have received the tubing. Trying to finish the design and start cutting parts next week.

How to weigh you car for $80.

1. Buy four scales ($40)
2. Make a triangle with 4' legs ($30)
3. Make a 6" pad for the scale and a 12" pad for your tire ($10)
4. Buy a $2500 welder to weld it together

Work begins on THE ENABLER! Side-swiped drivers-side doors replaced and interior is now race prepped. Floor is toast, I just hope the rockers will support welding.

So I finished my first Lemons Rally. 3500 miles and four bashed in fenders and it's time to get back to the serious work.
Sit rep:
Previute is almost ready for the race in October, needs a radiator and fire suppression. Should be finishing that this weekend.
Her Majesty needs intake runners machined and complete intake welding. Followed by new interior/ firewall and driveshaft loops. Minor front alignment work with rear upper arms for camber adjustment.
The ENABLER: full custom build. Next step cut the rest of the Corvair suspension and floor out of the car. Then cut more to make room for XJR drivetrain. Then replace with good metal to fill giant holes. Brakes, running, steering, cooling, safety, etc. Might take awhile, but will probably run Her Majesty next year anyway.
Well that's it for now. I will be chronicling the progress here as well as FB and the Gram. Good luck to all my Class C brethren and in the immortal words of Bob Mitchell, "Build a cool race car and shove it up their ass."
