Topic: Show me your Porsche 914 fuel cell / tank arrangements

I am idly contemplating doing something with a stalled 914 project. But the location of the fuel tank makes me very ... twitchy.

Obvious fuel cell options for the 914 range from very expensive (Patrick) to even more absurd (Fuel Safe).

What are you doing to keep the Fire Juice off your socks?

Can't provide anything specifically about the 914 but my front mounted fuel cell passed with NASCAR style door bars across the nose.  They terminate at spreader plates on the wheel wells.  In a big frontal impact the bars/spreader plates would be driven into the wheels before they reached the cage holding the cell.
