That's a little disappointing. I was hoping to see at least as many as we had last year.

Out of curiosity, anybody based out of the Bellingham, WA area?

How about Tri-Cities, WA?

I'm in the former, the potential other half of my team is in the latter.

One consolation is that of the 29 cars registered, all 31 showed up and turned laps.

Just out of curiosity, how many cars were racing last October?  That was our first race and it was awesome, we will definitely be there next October and maybe the July race as well if we can get our schedules to match up.

It actually ended up being about the same. Which car were you driving?

We had the black gti, that was the first time any of us had ever been on a race track, we started out really slow.......we got passed by the sawzda several times

Re: October Ridge entry list?

Side question -

It looks like it's been (5?) years since Lemons started up at the Ridge, and it's good to see that it's persisted - and the car mix, particularly with the draw from the Great White North, is a bit more. . . .interesting than down in Cali.

But, the Ridge is one of the few 2-race -per-year tracks.  And I know that Lemons runs tracks that 'work' for Lemons and the head honchos.

What's been the draw for 2 Ridge races -

- the casino down in Shelton?
- oysters from the Hood?
- best localbrew from the racers?

1.  Seattle has a lot of young guys with money.
2.  The Ridge race is the only race withing 500 miles of Seattle.
3.  The track is most excellent.

Lemons should check out the track in Seattle/Kent again.  With the new repave the back half is much safer. It still has the horrible noise regulations though.

Lemons has been going to The Ridge every year since 2012, so this was year eight.

My uninformed guess is that, in addition to the items erich mentioned, it's not as expensive to rent as some other venues, so Lemons can afford to keep coming back even with relatively low turnouts. The key question is just how low the numbers can go and still be worth the trouble, of course.
