Topic: Subaru Legacy?

Is it a good idea to prep a 2008 Subaru Legacy sedan for Loudon and Thompson?

Head gaskets, wheel bearings, pzev, awd, what could go wrong?

I'm interested to hear Lemons wisdom on this one. I spectated at Loudon last weekend and wonder if we'd be in the way or run off the track in a slow commuter.

Re: Subaru Legacy?

probably be class b, not sure whether or not there would be laps.

Ive seen fast ones and slow ones.  Probably depends on the drivers.

Re: Subaru Legacy?

We've run a '96 legacy sedan with an automatic. You won't be holding up a lot of traffic. Ours corners pretty well with lowered springs, EBC Yellow pads and sticky rubber and goes alright when wound up. Good beginner car.  Not a front runner but a midpack contender when the reliability is there. Keep water in it and try to get all the extras out of the engine bay. Water pump and thermostat are mandatory w the timing belt service. Get the AC pump and condenser out of the way. Ours still has the Cat and stock exhaust.

Any update OP? Did you transform your Legacy into a Lemons car?
