Topic: Lemons iRacing League - How to Paint Your Virtual Heap

THIS THREAD IS MEANT TO PROVIDE RESOURCES, PERSONAL HELP, AND IDEAS TO PAINT YOUR iRACING Lemons CAR.

BE NICE, BE HELPFUL.

Painting/decorating your crapcan is an essential part of Lemons and if you don't do that, you suck (Looking directly at you, nondescript-black E36s). We don't want you to suck and we don't want Lemons iRacing to suck, so keep us all entertained by painting your car. Photoshop or GIMP (free, open-source photo editor) will be your friend here and—bonus—that means you can do things like:

* Put your own face on the car.
* Parody a copyrighted/trademarked character on your car in a way that totally doesn't violate copyright.
* NEVER EVER EVER EVER paint your car in Gulf Oil colors.
* Ya'll are creative, I have no doubts you can come up with good stuff.

Here some tutorials and tools to help you get them painted the way you (and we) want:

3. Custom Paint Tutorial on YouTube (Unofficial)
4. How to make Custom Liveries & Car Skins for iRacing on YouTube (Unofficial)
5. Text Version of How To Paint a Car for iRacing (Unofficial)

The Trading Paints site also has a wealth of inspiration and information. If you don’t have Photoshop, you can also use the free open-source photo editor GIMP. If this is all TOTALLY out of your depth, ask around and you might find someone who can help you out.
