Topic: 2.5” Reinforced Fuel Filler Hose for Remote Fill

I’ve got 42” of this hose available.  Works awesome for a fuel cell remote filler setup.  This type of hose is required if you’re doing a full FIA remote fill setup with no firewall. It was around $25/foot when I bought it a couple months ago and we didn't need all of it, I’d sell it for $40 plus shipping. If you’re in Colorado, we can meet up to save shipping.

Re: 2.5” Reinforced Fuel Filler Hose for Remote Fill

We are in a similar process right now installing a remote fill.  Is there anything special about that hose or is it just that it meets the rules requirement of "wire or nylon reinforced"?  This is what the local store had in stock  https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NBG1030 and seems to meet the rules intent, however just as expensive.  They only sold it in 4 foot sections and when the clerk said $23 I thought that was the whole piece but I was very much corrected when I got to the checkout.

I was just about to email Pagel about the separation too.  Are you 100% sure that the filler hose doesn't need to be separated from the cockpit if the cell is rated?

John Pagel told me that as long as the fill plate and filler cap are from the same manufacturer as the tank and therefore keeping its FIA certification, then it does not need a firewall.  You need to use reinforced hose though, this stuff I've got is wire reinforced and super heavy duty.

Roughly how much are you thinking for shipping to zip code 60002? I'm going to need a length of this. I'm doing a firewall but I want the good hose anyways big_smile
